En el marco de sus actividades en terreno, el proyecto RES-SIAS desarrolló un recorrido territorial para conocer en profundidad las necesidades energéticas de comunidades rurales y hogares campesinos. La jornada incluyó traslados por vía fluvial y visitas a viviendas en sectores agrícolas, con el objetivo de levantar información clave sobre brechas y oportunidades de mejora en el uso de energía para el desarrollo productivo.
Durante la visita, el equipo conoció a Luzma, quien compartió desafíos cotidianos que reflejan la realidad de muchas familias del sector: la necesidad de contar con soluciones energéticas que permitan conservar productos mediante refrigeración y apoyar el riego de cultivos, entre otras aplicaciones fundamentales para la actividad agropecuaria.
Este tipo de actividades se alinean con los objetivos del proyecto RES-SIAS, financiado por el programa Erasmus+ de la Unión Europea, orientado a impulsar la integración de energías renovables y sistemas sostenibles en el sector agropecuario, con un enfoque moderno, inclusivo y con perspectiva de género.
El trabajo en terreno permite conectar investigación y formación con la realidad productiva, asegurando que las futuras soluciones no sean solo tecnológicas, sino también pertinentes, aplicables y centradas en la vida de las personas. Tal como plantea el propio enfoque del proyecto, la transición energética se construye desde el territorio y con quienes viven los desafíos día a día.
Los insumos levantados en esta visita serán parte del análisis para orientar futuras acciones del proyecto, fortalecer capacidades institucionales y contribuir al desarrollo de soluciones sostenibles para comunidades agrícolas y ganaderas

As part of its field activities, the RES-SIAS project conducted a territorial tour to gain in-depth knowledge of the energy needs of rural communities and farming households. The day included travel by river and visits to homes in agricultural areas, with the aim of gathering key information on gaps and opportunities for improvement in energy use for productive development.
During the visit, the team met Luzma, who shared everyday challenges that reflect the reality of many families in the area: the need for energy solutions that allow them to preserve products through refrigeration and support crop irrigation, among other essential applications for agricultural activity.
These types of activities align with the objectives of the RES-SIAS project, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, which aims to promote the integration of renewable energies and sustainable systems in the agricultural sector, with a modern, inclusive, and gender-sensitive approach.
Fieldwork allows us to connect research and training with the realities of production, ensuring that future solutions are not only technological but also relevant, applicable, and centered on people’s lives. As the project’s approach itself states, the energy transition is built from the ground up, with those who experience the challenges every day.
The information gathered during this visit will be used in the analysis to guide future project activities, strengthen institutional capacities, and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for farming and livestock communities.
